The MRes clinical research masters course is a robust clinical research training opportunity for those who aspire to clinical academic careers and leadership roles in healthcare practice, research and education.
This masters course in clinical research is for healthcare practitioners from a variety of backgrounds, including: nurses, midwives, allied healthcare professions and doctors, or non-clinicians working in clinical research environments.
The MRes in clinical research will provide the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to carrying out clinical research. It can be completed over one year full time or between two and five years part time.
A first degree (2.2 class or higher) or equivalent, in a relevant subject, from an approved institution of higher education is required to study on this clinical research masters degree.
Candidates without a good first degree may be admitted to MRes masters in clinical research course, but will be expected to provide evidence of suitable professional experience and supportive qualifications.
In addition to the above requirements, a candidate would normally have a health professional qualification, leading to current registration with the appropriate professional body, and/or relevant clinical/professional experience.
